TO-PLAY (2D Katamari Damacy)

Cool and Cute! Our favorite game for the PlayStation2 here at "Islandpixels" is the Katamari Damacy series. Re-done in 2D to feed your Katamari addiction. Link to 2D Katamari Damacy here.

More info on PS2 version'a of Katamari Damacy here and We Love Katamari here.

PROJECTS & LABS

I've got many new projects tucked away in my little lab, which hopefully I can release. Often times one project spawns another and I end up with too many on my plate. One idea cancels another idea while another one re-generates the original thought bubble. Thus the delay....Zzzzzz! Seriously though, a few things are in the works...lookout for something soon. Something more custom???

Just type in the name of the file and as your typing a list of relevant files pop-up. Hopefully you find the one your looking for and can figure out what it's doing or what it's all about.

TO-PLAY (Makos)

Those of you who love puzzle games and are familar with the game Chuzzle, will surely appreciate "Makos" a free online flash game with the same concept.

For those of you who don't know what Chuzzle is all about or have never played a puzzle game of this type, here's a little explanation. All your doing is finding pieces of the puzzle that match the same color as your cube or creature. Match 3 or more and the matching cubes/creatures explode and new ones slide into the gameplay. You of course have a certain time limit, the slower you move the harder it gets. Chuzzle for instance puts locks on certain Chuzzle creatures so that you can't slide that row or column.

All in all, you'll have to play it to see for yourself, try Makos here.

And if that gets you hooked, then try the ultimate of this genre, Chuzzle here.

Gotta love those puzzle/strategy games!

MASHUP (Guerilla DJ)

I was browsing through podcastalley.com looking for a new podcast or mashup to listen to when I came across Guerrilla DJ's podcast/mashup. I gave it a try and have been listening to it ever since. Guerrilla DJ has a very unique mix of mashups that are fairly current. He also mixes it up with a few tracks from yester-year, but it's all good because the mix is off the shizzle. Check out the official Guerrilla DJ site here.

Those of you who have a podcast aggregator like iTunes or Juice, can subscribe to the Guerrilla DJ podcast/mashup mix here.

COME BACK (Updates)

Wassup World!

Updates to the Islandpixel's blog are slow going, we are slowly getting there. We've been busy with a stew of projects. Especially the mascot program. Soon we will have a special membership area for those who donate to the cause. Special mascots will only be available to members of Islandpixels, so look out for that soon. Our mascots work well with MySpace profiles, so feel free to use them as your profile pic if you would like. That's it for now, we hope to keep you posted on any new releases and islandpixels news in the coming future.
