I know all of you know how cute Precious Moments are. In fact, Hawaii has their very own kind. You can find them at Cathedral Gift Shop. It's located at Ala Moana Shopping Center , street level between the stores David and Goliath and Crazy Shirts. This store may be small but they do carry a wide selection of Precious Moment figurines. One enjoyment that I have is the exclusive Hawaii and Japan Precious Moment figurines that can only be found in our place of home, Hawaii. These figurines are sold only in Hawaii and can never be bought anywhere else. So, it looks like you folks who collect them are in luck. Like they say " Lucky you live Hawaii !". They not only carry Precious Moments but they also have an array of collectibles as well. If you need a gift to give to someone and have no clue to what they might like. This might be the store for you. Whether it be for yourself or for the person that you love. You'll definitely find something cute and precious to give or keep forever. As they say, sharing life's precious moments with Aloha !!!!
Reach the Cathedral Gift Shop website here.
Islandpixel's (Extisp.icio.us / Del.icio.us) Links Map
If you use del.icio.us to keep track of your favorite bookmarks. Then extisp.icio.us might be something that may be of some interest to you. It's basically a text map of your del.icio.us links. Text that are bigger and bolder are the "tags" that contain the most bookmarks in them. The developer of this handy little web app is Kevan Davis. Be sure to visit his site by clicking here, if your interested in making a text map of your links.

GAMES (Cororo the Maze)
Directions are in Spanish but is fairly easy to figure out! All you have to do is guide the ball through the maze by manipulating the mouse to collect all the stars. Get a feel for the game by playing the practice mode. This game is very fun and can be addicting after a while.

Turtle Bay Resorts
Those of you who haven't been home in a while will come to appreciate the beauty and the hard work that was put into the Turtle Bay Resorts website: http://www.turtlebayresort.com/
The site is nicely done and utilizes the latest virtual cam technologies. Way to go "Turtle Bay". This is our ohana's (family's) favorite place to go to either relax or fish. Those planning on coming to Hawaii be sure to check out the resort and the surrounding beaches. It's one of the most beautiful spots on the island and if you walk out far enough, you could maybe get a full body tan. As there usually is no one around. Just hope no one walked out as far as you did.
For friends and family who are currently far away from home and are suffering through the cold weather, hopefully just the existence of this site can bring you some warmth and comfort. Like other sites, Turtle Bay Resorts provides basic information about their resort and location. But what sets them apart from other resorts on the island is their website. They really spent alot of time and effort into making sure they provide their web users with a unique experience as well. This is done by providing users with a "Virtual Tour" of the resort. The virtual tour allows you to vicariously experience the rooms, golf course, and surronding areas through the latest web and video technologies. They've been renovating the resort for the last 3 years now and can personally tell you that it was made with the vistor in mind. The resort itself has also taken advantage of some of the latest technologies. There are several flat screen monitors around the resort which displays helpful information to all it's guests. The party and guest rooms also got revamped and have been outfitted with a more ritzy look. We especially like the area towards the back of the resort which contains a mini waterfall with a couple of Koi ponds. Very nicely done!
Anyways it's just the place to be if your looking to relax and have a good time. For locals who are wondering how the surf is or if conditions are good for diving. Take advantage of their online web cam which is "Live", in real time. There's an option to take control of the web cam allowing users to take control of the panning. There's even a zoom option. This can come in handy for all you fishermen out there. Check it out by clicking here.
The site is truly a reflection of "What you see, is what you get". We only have one request, keep lowering the Kamaaina rate please!

The Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream site is finally up. KG's been searching for this site for a while now. Nigo and Pharrell have the coolest clothing line on the planet. Check it out here.

Kliban Cat Creations
Cat lovers will surely appreciate B Kliban's cat creations. Each product was designed with cat lovers in mind. The Kliban cat is featured amongst a vast array of items that can be found around the office and the house. The prices are very reasonable, we especially like 12oz Molded Mugs, which can be found by clicking here.
Enjoy and remember to support "Hawaii Businesses" by "Buying Hawaii".
PS:
Artwork of Kliban postcards can be found here.

TO-GET (Lowie Boy - Of Love & Lust)
Picked this up the day it came out, that was about a year ago now. Still haven't gotten tired of it. For all you people out there who are far away from home and missing Hawaii, pick this one up it's called "Of Love and Lust" by Lowie Boy guest starring Shango. It has a more updated feel to it, just listen to the lyrics. Unlike other artist who write about the wind blowing and city lights...Lowie Boy gives you an insight on what's going on today in Hawaii. He also keeps it real with Track #2 "No Ordinary Life". Thats about it, no need to sell it, the music speaks for itself.
You can sample a few of his tracks on his MySpace and get more info from the man himself, by clicking here.
You can also view other music artist who are under the Tiki Entertainment label by clicking here
Also be sure to check out Big Teeze's "Off Air" it's off the heezy!
Help support Hawaii Business by...
Help support Hawaii businesses by buying stuff from Hawaii. Easier said than done, but here's a few links to get a good start:
Hawaii items via Yahoo! Shopping
Hawaii items via Froogle.com
Hawaii's most advertised online auction site postpig.com
Postpig.com seems kinda genericky (if that's even a word), not sure who would actually buy stuff from off of there. Plus most of the stuff posted on there have no images or photos that users can review to see what the items look like before they buy. The few pics that they do have are in low-resolution. Use at your own risk!
After reviewing all (3) links, you may say to your self....geez...how many "Aloha Shirts" do I really need. Maybe that logo was re-edited one last time after the final review, cause' I think they used white out on the word that was originally above the word "Buy", which read: "Tourists".
Anyways, support local businesses by buying stuff made in Hawaii.
Courteous Driving....Hah!
Found this article a while back and must say, "I totally agree". This article truly supports my previous entry about traffic here in Hawaii. Thank you, drivers.com for breaking things down for all of us poor lemmings stuck out here in Hawaii. Check out the article here.
TO-MAKE (Text-Image)
Here's another neat thing for you "digital camera" freaks! Convert your pictures into a text-image. A text-image is a picture made from text, check the picture above or better yet go directly to the text-image site by clicking here.
GAMES (Orisinal)
For those of you who enjoy playing cutsy puzzle games, check out the "Orisinal" archive by graphic and animation designer Ferry Halim. Simply the best!

Add more than just water to Ramen
We recently discovered this one from watching the Food Network, it's a "101 Things to Do with Ramen Noodles". The author of the book, Toni Patrick was a college student at the time she conceived the idea of combining all of her "Ramen Recipes" into a book. Ramen is a favorite amongst college students, as it is the cheapest and easiest food to make. I guess it was only natural for her to experiment and try something new. We all know how eating ramen all the time, begins to get stale after a while. Especially when your broke! It's pretty much the equivalent of cereal, just the hotter cereal. A no brainer if you will. Toni has some pretty good stuff in there, worth checking out especially for all us "Hawaii People".
Check out the book at it's official publisher, "Gibbs Smith Publishing", site click here
You can also buy it used and sample some of the pages from Amazon here
Those of you who turn on the stove only to walk away to watch T.V. while you wait for the water to boil...........go check it....THE WATER IS BOILING!
Enjoy!
DO YOU LOVE EGGS?
Check out iloveegg.com, it's a character goods site featuring "eggs". What we love the most is the "egg song" which can be viewed by clicking here. It can also be viewed on their site, by clicking the "Egg Song" icon in the upper right corner. It seems to load a little slower though. It's cute and weird at the same time! But we love it, check it out when you get the chance.

THROWNET (Demo)
Being part "Hawaiian" also mean's being part of tradition. In our ohana, it's fishing the old ancient Hawaiian way called "Thrownet". Our family comes from a long blood line of fishermen. Wisdom and knowledge has been passed down through the ages, generation to generation, father to son. Today there's only a few of us left and thrownet has become a dying tradition. We are amongst the last of our kind and will preserve as much of it as we can, so here's a little glimpse of our tradition, "Thrownet".
Myself and Da' Moi King demo. Click the pics to view the videos, enjoy!

in4mation
Islandpixels keeps up with the latest and greatest in street/urban wear. At the top of our list, sits in4mation which can be found in Ward Warehouse and Waikiki Shopping Plaza. They've got all the latest in underground fashion that spans from across the globe. We especially like the underground stuff that comes from Japan. Some of their stuff may seem a lil' pricy but thats the price you pay to be "unique". Why would you want to continue to look like everyone else? Set your self apart and give Todd Shimabuku (1 of the 4 founders) and his crew a visit. When last we checked they still had a few of Pharrell William's Ice Creams in stock. Those of you who have been loyal followers of Pharrell, Nigo and Bape (Bathing Ape) knows what that means. That means it's ultra rare and hard to find, so get 'em while they're hot. Prices are known to shoot up in the hundreds. In4mation also carries vinyl figures which can sometimes be found in their window display. Such an eye-catcher! KG loves vinyl! Hint..hint.gift.gift! Anyways, check in4mation out whenever your in town!
Map to Ward Warehouse store here Waikiki Shopping Plaza location is mapped out here
Enjoy...most importantly be unique!
